There are three ways to add an international dimension to your studies:

Exchange: You can go on exchange for either 1–2 terms depending on where you go and how it fits into your studies. As an X-student you can apply through the Central Agreement, the Teknat Faculty, and IBG.

The Central Agreement is the university’s largest opportunity, where you compete with all students at the university but have much more freedom in terms of destinations and courses.

Exchange through IBG (the Department of Biological Education) works in the same way as Teknat, but with the advantage that the X-section is the only engineering programme that can apply for exchange through them.

Freestanding courses: You can also apply for freestanding courses through the university alliance ENLIGHT for campus or online teaching in Europe.

Field studies, Thesis work: You can also apply for grants from Erasmus to carry out for example field studies during both long and short periods, within and outside Europe.

Xchange: To get some inspiration and the opportunity to ask questions to both exchange coordinators and students who have been on exchanges, we recommend keeping an eye out for the Xchange event which takes place each autumn term. The event consists of an information section where a panel provides information about the exchange opportunities within the section, followed by a Q&A session where you have the chance to get your questions about exchange studies answered.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Head of Master and exchange affairs.
